“Music was my first love...” (John Miles)

Ever since I heard the first bars of some classic Stones and Mike Oldfield songs I was addicted to music. The legend says that I kept banging my head to “Start Me Up” in the play-pen. I can remember listening to music for hours and hours everyday in my youth and adolescence - especially to the greats of Rock and Metal like Hendrix, ZZ Top, Queen, Yngwie Malmsteen, Iron Maiden and Deep Purple. Also the Blues had its big influence on me with the likes of e. g. Robert Cray, Robin Trower, T-Bone Walker or Eric Clapton.

But it was not until I was 15 that I would pick up a guitar myself and start taking lessons. This was a long time ago. Today I run my own recording studio and write music on professional level in totally different styles - Metal, Rock, Fusion, New Age, atonal music and Black music. Plus: I finally did my examination as a musicologist.

With “Busy Strings” I release my first solo album that is totally dedicated to electric guitar playing. It features a dynamic mix of different styles ranging from soulful Blues to high energy Rock and what is generally determined as “Shred”. I am sure as a friend of instrumental guitar music - and in particular a friend of players like Santana, Frank Gambale or Joe Satriani - you will find something on “Busy Strings” that you will like!
